Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data reduxsound.com processes when you use the site and why. It is short because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

The controller is the ReduxSound project (reduxsound.com). You can reach us through the contact form on the Contact page; there is no public e-mail address.

What we do not do

ReduxSound has no user accounts, takes no payments, shows no advertising and does not sell data to anyone.

Cookies set by the site

The site sets two cookies of its own. The lang cookie remembers the language you chose and is kept for one year. A PHP session cookie holds a security token for forms and is removed when you close the browser.

Settings stored on your device

Your app settings, such as the theme, volumes, 3D or reverb mode and the last view you opened, are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to our server. You can remove them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Analytics

We use Yandex Metrica, a web analytics service provided by Yandex, with Session Replay (Webvisor), click map and link tracking. It collects pseudonymous usage data: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring page. Yandex Metrica sets its own cookies, for example _ym_uid and _ym_d.

Our own visit statistics

In addition, the site counts visits itself, to see which pages and sounds are used. When you open a page, your browser sends us the page address, the site that linked to it, the site language and whether you start playback or use the player's controls. To tell new visitors from returning ones, a random identifier is kept in your browser's local storage (rs:vid); it is not linked to your name or to any account. We do not store your IP address or your browser's full user-agent with these records: the country comes from Cloudflare, the device and browser are reduced to a general type such as "Chrome on Android", and if local storage is unavailable, a one-day hash of the IP address and browser is used whose key is replaced every day. Sound searches that find nothing are counted as well: only the search text, in lower case and without punctuation, with no link to a visit or a visitor. Detailed records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept after that. You can remove the identifier at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Content delivery and security

Requests to the site pass through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site.

Server logs

Our server records the IP address, time, requested URL, browser user-agent and referrer of each request. These logs are kept for a few days for security and troubleshooting and are then deleted automatically.

Contact form

When you write to us, we receive your message and, if you choose to give them, your name and e-mail address. Both are optional; the e-mail address is only needed if you would like a reply. Messages are stored in the site database, used only to answer you and deleted within 12 months. For spam protection, the sender’s IP address is stored only as a one-way hash.

Your choices

You can ask for access to, or deletion of, the data you sent us through the contact form by writing to us via the same form. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time, and block analytics with the Yandex opt-out add-on mentioned above.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
