Tropical Beach Sleep
"Tropical Beach at Night" is an exotic sleep mix with the acoustics of a tropical beach after sunset: a base of tropical beach (waves with distant echo), with cicadas and the occasional tropical frog in bushes behind the dunes, a barely perceptible breeze in palm fronds on top. The acoustic "Bali at night," "Goa after sunset," "Polynesia" — what many tourists remember for life.
Unlike ocean sleep (Ocean Sleep), here a rich tropical biome is added: cicadas with their characteristic high-frequency peak around 4–6 kHz and tropical frogs with deep "boom-boom" in the low register. This creates an acoustic scene of completely different density than northern or Mediterranean. Psychologically the mix is a strong "vacation" trigger for most people: Larson and colleagues (Journal of Environmental Psychology, 2016) showed that listening to sounds associated with rest activates the same brain zones as actual rest.
Use this mix for falling asleep after stressful days with a strong "escape" urge (especially winter in northern countries), for writing tropical prose (Hemingway, García Márquez, Theroux), for "mental escape" meditation, for romantic evenings with an exotic atmosphere, and for people recovering from burnout. Pairs with Ocean Sleep (to remove insects) or Jungle Dawn (transition into morning). Ideal for sleep.
