"For Anxiety" is a therapeutic mix for people with chronic or acute anxiety: a base of ocean (slow wave rhythm), with 432 Hz, a quiet purring and a light breeze on top. The "natural safety" mix — all components signal to the brain "all is well, no danger."
Physiologically, anxiety is sympathetic nervous system activation without real threat. An effective non-pharmacological intervention is parasympathetic activation through breath and sensory stimuli. Bernardi and colleagues (Heart, 2006) showed that listening to slow music (around 60 bpm) and water sounds activates the parasympathetic system and lowers blood pressure within 5–10 minutes. Cat purring (20–50 Hz) further works through the same mechanism (Qureshi et al., Journal of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, 2009). The combination gives a strong anti-anxiety effect.
Use this mix for acute anxiety (5–15 minutes of active listening with closed eyes and mindful breathing), for chronic anxiety as a daily 20-minute practice, before important events (interviews, exams, presentations), for people during life crises, and for sleep preparation under nighttime anxiety. The mix complements psychotherapy and medication, it does not replace them. Severe anxiety disorders require psychiatrist consultation.
