Slow Stretching

"Slow Stretch" is a sports mix for stretching and cool-down after a workout: a base of 60 bpm Drum B (slow, like a heartbeat), with 432 Hz, singing bowl (as a stage marker) and a light breeze on top. "Yoga nidra after cardio," "yin yoga," "classic static stretching" — an image of restorative physical culture.

Cool-down is a critically important part of the training cycle that most people skip. Versey and colleagues (Sports Medicine, 2013) showed that a 10-minute active stretch with a meditative component after intense training lowers blood lactate 20–30% faster than passive rest, and significantly reduces the risk of delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). The 60 bpm tempo is close to resting heart rate and helps the body physiologically "switch off" from training arousal.

Use this mix for cool-down after cardio or strength training (10–15 minutes), for yin yoga (long asana holds, 3–5 minutes per pose), for classic static stretching, for myofascial release with a foam roller, for Pilates with a meditative component, and for people recovering from physical injuries. Pairs with Yoga Flow (active part), Sound Bath (deep relaxation), Morning Meditation (continuation). Good background for light falling asleep after an evening workout.
